About Me

I am married to my wonderful wife, Jill, and have three grown children and our first grandchild. I have a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering and a M.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. I have over 30 years in Research & Development with Ford Motor Company. I am mostly a self-taught artist, but took lots of art classes in high school and almost all of the art classes that RPI offered while in college.

Artwork is mostly a hobby for me right now and a creative outlet, although I will do commissioned works. I plan to spend more time with my art as I get ready to retire in the next couple of years.

I grew up in the North Woods of Minnesota and currently live in Dearborn, MI. My wife and I are enthusiastic and avid birders with over 390 Life Birds on our Llife List. Taking up birding as a COVID hobby back in 2020 has been an incredibly rewarding experience and the single biggest factor influencing my foray into birds as subject matter for my artwork.
